A friend of mine had a pacemaker put in there. Should have been routine. They kept her overnight and released her. She was supposed to heal fine but in a few days her wpun was leaking infected ooze. They gave her antibiotics with no results, so they took a culture and found out it was a rare mocrobe/bacteria causing infection and changed her antibiotics to treat it. Also back to surgery to remove pacemaker. Back to home healing and with IV home treatments of antibiotics. Supposed to be for 6 weeks, but quit after two weeks as Doctor was afraid IV tube would get infected. Thought she was on mend and then infection returned. Wound again leaking infection. Back to Doctor, gave her abrio boric pills!!! Sent home and told she needed to see a "Wound Doctor". Waiting to see wound doctor, and infection growing fast, swollen under armpit, naseaus, week. Northside Hospita doing nothing, Doctor not doing much of anything, trying to decide WHAT OTHER HOSPITAL TO GO TO RIGHT NOW. WOULD NOT GO TO NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL-CHEROKEE!!!
