Update: 7.10.17 STill no working bathroom and it has been a total of 2 month going in circles. I have repeatedly taken off work b/c they were scheduled and 2 times now no one has shown up and there is always a reason. We have had 4 people come out with no work done. They arrive, take a look, say they didn't bring tools, and then leave. To top things off, the owner has sold the business is now on vacation in Europe and I am waiting on someone's approval after all this. My bathroom is still under warranty yet I feel they are dragging this out to where they can tell me it is no longer under warranty. Will update again soon.
Communication skills are key to a successful business especially when it is a huge part of someone's home and their life.
Very disappointed in Tim Brenner at AYS for stating he would GC my home rebuild and then have little to no communication for a good month or more. He assumed I would not pay him if he did the work. His assumption was based on a 6 year litigation I have on my home against a lender, which has nothing to do with repairing my home after a flood. With 2 kids, 2 service dogs, and another dog...of course I needed my home fixed after a sewer, multi-level, flood.
Shopped around to four contractor's and AYS had the best price. I liked the fact they had a showroom. I had them remodel my master bath and tile the shower. The work was well done and on time. My experience was awesome. Tim oversaw every step and was very pleasant to deal with.
We also intend to file a complaint with the BBB and our insurance company for FAILURE to begin or meet promised commitment date, times & return/or/answer phone calls!!
We had average work done by them about 1.5 yrs ago and had a leak spring back up. They sent us round and round for about 2 weeks and then when it finally landed back in their lap they sent Johnny out. Johnny constantly says he will get back to you in an hr, give him a day, and so on and he never does. He did this as well the first time around. It gets so frustrating that you just don't want to deal with them any more but there is work they need to do that falls under warranty. Will update review if things change.
We finally have a completed bathroom. Yay!!! It was rough but I respect that they followed through. Roger has been the best to deal with and did good work.
Horrible follow-up & follow through regarding timelines, verbal commitments to start or complete projects. We would NOT REFER this company to anyone for any reason or any project because of the POOR COMMUNICATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE & OVERALL HONESTY OF AVAILABILITY.

I sincerely hope that anyone needing a General Contractor looks somewhere else and does not allow Tim or AYS to do the work.
Hope we are all set and don't have to deal with this again. I have them 2 more stars for following through and Roger doing good work.
Awesome job on gutting and remodeling my bathroom! My subfloor was completely destroyed. I called and the crew started working the next day. Left everything neat and clean! Pleasant and nice to deal with!
