I again want to state that the doctor was excellent which of course is the most important aspect of the urgent care facility, but the front office staff needs to be held to a higher standard and not think their job is simply to input informtion on a screen. The whole experience would have been excellent had there not been any front office staff and we were given the option to input our own informtion on a tablet. I don't need someone giving me an attitude, gossiping loudly, laughing obnoxiously, making mistakes and then continuing to give me an attitude after they failed to do their job correctly.
The front office staff was another story. I had reserved a "check in" time of 4:09. We arrived at 4:07. I checked in on the tablet, as I was instructed and was immediately taken to one of the windows to provide more information (The staff member was very short and never once smiled, but this wasn't a huge issue just something to note). I finished up at the window and went to wait. It had been about 15 minutes when I noticed my son's name on the screen that shows wait times. It stated we had a wait time of 27-45 minutes. I went to ask the staff member if that was correct. She simply said 'yeah' with an attitude. I then asked if that was the case then what was the point in the online "check in" if you were still going to have to wait 45 minutes. She replied with "You were a walk-in". I explained to her I was not and that I had checked my son in on the tablet. She then went to check (not sure why this wasn't done before bringing me back for information) and said she would fix it.
The doctor was excellent! Appeared very informed and genuinely concerned about my child. She worked to troubleshoot the situation with us and we came up with a course of action.
Fantastic experience. Excellent nurse and doctor. Diligent and knowledgeable. (They even brought my girl birthday presents!)
Let me also add that while this was taking place only one other child came in. This child's parent had not reserved a time, yet they were called back before us. Regardless of whether I had reserved a time online or not we should have still been called back before this child.
Best children’s healthcare facility and doctors north of ATL
On numerous occasions I have brought my children here and they have been nothing short of amazing. Every
Time passed. The front office staff just sat gossiping and not making any attempt to rectify the situation. Eventually we were called back 50 minutes after the time I had reserved. In retrospect this is fairly quickly for an urgent care facility. The issue is.. why offer patients the option to "check in" in advance, with the promise of less time spent in the waiting room, if you are then going to ignore your system.
employee, from check in to the nurses and physicians have been outstanding. They are always prompt, polite, and compassionate. I recommend them to everyone with children. All of the physicians we have seen have all had excellent bedside manner and spent time answering all my questions and explaining everything thoroughly.
Staff has always been great! Been here several times.
