I'm extremely tired of this place over charging!! The quote that I just got for an abscessed tooth was "roughly" $740. What they told me was, "...it could be more. It could be less. We won't be able to tell until we get in there." Are you kidding me?? Thankfully, I found a way better vet who will do the whole procedure, including blood tests, for $250.
Does this place love animals? Yes. Will they love yours and take great care of it? Yes. However, they love money more and will do anything to get as much of yours as possible.
We have used Cherokee Animal Hospital for years ~ with my three cats. We lost our 16 year old sweet boy and the office staff called often to check on me. Now we have ventured into the Dog world...wow! As never being a Dog owner the questions have been overwhelming for me. Never once have I frustrated anyone at the office. They take my calls and the time to explain the things to make me understand and feel better. My dog loves going to visit and gets so very excited to see Dr. Bryant! He loves to give her lots of puppy kisses. The love, care and compassion they show my family is amazing!
From the time I walked in the door I was greeted by a friendly and attentive staff. The doctor I saw was Dr. Bryant. Her immediate greeting was for my two dogs who seem to love her......have never had that happen, previously my dogs had to be pulled into the vet. Dr. Bryant gave a very thorough exam of my older dog that was having a problem. She outlined exactly what was going on and made recommendations about how to treat immediately and long term. Blood work was done and I was provided with estimates that were very fair and reasonable based on research I had done on my own. My older dog, unfortunately needs a dental cleaning and their rates are very in line with what other vets had given me by phone. Overall I had a great experience with staff and doctor and feel they give excellent care to my pets.
My two adult dogs and new puppy are all patients at Cherokee Animal Hospital. The staff all seem to really love animals, and the care we've received has been both professional and kind. When my Labrador had to have a tumour removed recently, I was a nervous wreck. The staff called me several times during the day with updates, and someone sat with him all afternoon in recovery (because he was being a big baby!) until it was time for him to go home. I was very grateful for the extra care!
I have been taking my 3 dogs to Cherokee Animal hospital for a few years now and they have been great each time. What has kept me here over the years is the sense of care that they give to each of my dogs. After each appointment, I always get a call just to check in and make sure we received our prescriptions or just to check in on the dogs and see how they are doing. They truly care about each animal that walks through the door, and that is what I want from a vet-- especially since my dogs are an extension of my family.
