If you have long, thick, beautiful hair this salon would be great for you-but--If your hair is like mine-short and thinning-it was a disaster. The hairdresser had no idea how to cut my hair.I explained that I needed a "Pixie" cut-really short in the back with the hair on top blended in . He cut it straight across from right at my ears and shaved from my neck to the "ledge".The sides were left with no shape and the bangs were a mess.This is the first review I have written. I won't return to the salon and my hair will grow out- In the mean time it's back to wigs!
This was my first visit - I asked for an expert in a particular thing and was paired up with a young girl who barely had salon experience.
1. If I ask for an expert - then put me with someone with years of experience - not a newbie.
2. If I ask you to do my hair a certain way - don't outright ignore me. You can give me suggestions as to why you would recommend or not recommend something...but the final say is mine.
Found my new salon. Kate and Katie were fantastic! Kudos to Katie for making my hair look fabulous and look forward to showing off the new tresses to everyone!
What I would like is:
I asked her to do my hair a certain way and she just flat out didn't do it how I asked her to do it. This was in respect to both the color and the cut!
I am very particular about my hair; I'm a "long-hair person," and while I try not to be too picky and a pain in the butt, I do want my hair done a certain way, and I want to make sure that I'm listened to. Meagan, my stylist here, has always taken the time to listen and to do my hair exactly the way I want it. It isn't easy to find a stylist you really mesh with, and I'm so happy that I've found this salon! The salon itself is charming as well; you can relax and know that you're in good hands here.
Then, before she was finished with my hair - she ran off to start on another client's hair and never came back to show me what I had asked her to show me about styling my new haircut.
The salon is super comfortable. I really enjoyed the head and neck massage.
Loved my day at Addison Taylor salon. Brooklyn did a fantastic job on my hair. Super happy. Definitely going back and will recommend to everyone. Love
When the bill came, there was nothing on there describing which price I was given (they have a list of different charges depending on the level of expertise of the person doing the work). There was no breakdown on the bill of the charges I received. It was just a credit card receipt that was supposed to be signed.
4. All charges should be itemized on a bill that is easy to read and figure out. The status of the person doing the work (their category for billing purposes as per your brochure) should be stated up front at the time the appointment is booked.
Loved the building and the staff was all nice.
3. Don't promise you'll show me (2 minutes) how to do something and then run off and disappear when a new client arrives. I needed to know.
