I guess should there be people who are needed out of society this is a great facility to be placed, I have a daughter{granddaughter}Niki that has been in the jail for almost a year and I can not get her out. She was guilty of taking drugs but a year and still in there. I sure hope some one reads this and can help me get her out of Cherokee County Jail because I need her here with me .
I'd give them 2 stars. Had some decent laughs, no pillows in the drunk tank, had to use the toilet paper roll!
When I had to visit for 4 months the pod was way over populated. In one cell we had 4 women and two of them who were sleeping on the floor. There are some guards with a heart and some who are very cold and rude. Medical care here is sucks and they are beyond rude when you have an issue. The food is terrible, you get no vitamins only carbs. I do want to say that Corporal Jackson really tried to implement programs for the inmates which is a major plus. There were some of the officers that have been fired and arrested since my stay, one for drugs and the other for theft. The one that was fired for drugs used to laugh at us and make fun of us and we all knew she was on something, but who is going to believe an inmate?
Your officers are rude and its very unnecessary and uncalled for. It's an embarrassment having these types of officers employed at this location. Very disappointed in these types of people!
If you happen to find yourself spending your summer vacation at this all-inclusive establishment, bring plenty of cash for weekly shopping excursions, if ud like to spend some time alone, coloring out of the lines will win u a police escort to a secluded section of the facility which will allow plenty of quiet time for self-guided meditation & the best medical care offered within. If planning to have a guest, be forewarned that several rules apply & are not merely guidelines, unless of course they intend 2 stay. Vacancies may not be available without a court order, as new residents are accommodated in a first come, first serve basis. Furthermore, personal effects are not welcome so please leave them elsewhere.
I honestly don't understand how hard it is to know specific details about your work establishment. I've been told the wrong information about an inmate regarding visitation times and phone call usage. I was told visitation times start 7:30 and go until 10. I even asked if I could schedule a visit at 10 and was told yes....not true. I hope you realize other people work and have lives that we have to work around to make time for a visit to a loved one. I was also told that in order for an inmate to make a phone call I would have to put. Obey in my phone account AND money on the inmates account...also not true...so now I wasted my money that I work extremely hard for on some idiot that told me incorrect information.
