This is a great addition to Cherokee County. I give it 3 stars instead of 5 for 3 reasons:
Love love love Our new Park. Multiple bathrooms. Walking track, playground with walking track, tennis courts, pickle ball and a skate park. Turf field for multiple sports with stadium seating. And more development to come. Thank you for this wonderful park.
2. No dog park
Otherwise - I love the great new place to run!
3. The annoying and entitled parents whonthink setting up their chairs ON THE WALKING PATH is a smart idea. The park really needs to either add bleachers there and put signs for the inconsiderate people who don't care others are actually using the path. PS - get off your cell phone and get out of my way !
The park itself is great, I only come to ride the skate park and I am disappointed to see that they have spent so much money but they couldn’t put a lighting system in for the skate park so it remains open a little bit longer after dark like the other parks that are local in Atlanta. I have contacted Cherokee county asking if lights will be put in and there are no plans to do so, once again it’s disappointing they spend the time to build this park and install lighting everywhere else but now with the time change and it getting dark so early we will all have to leave Cherokee county to ride.
We love our brand new sports park here off Hwy 20! Stopped in a few days ago to find it's coming along quite well... The paved walking trail all around the complex is awesome! 1.33 miles total. Then there is also a great big playground for the kids too! And, such a cool skatepark for all ages, tennis courts, pickleball courts, restrooms, picnic tables,... not to mention the map says there is a new rec center and baseball fields coming soon!
Attended an event here and found it was a beautiful setting! Plenty of space to move about, clean restrooms, and kid friendly.
